South Carolina Christian Foundation (SCCF), like community foundations, provides charitable financial services allowing you to:

Community Foundations are wonderful partners for estate planning because of the potential income and tax benefits that can be realized.  Typically, all or part of the donor’s estate is left as a bequest to a Giving Fund at SCCF. The fund is then a vehicle for accomplishing the donor's charitable goals after they pass.

• Leave a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or what remains after other bequests have been satisfied.

• You may arrange for your heirs to receive lifetime income from your estate, with the remainder going to SCCF for charitable purposes.

• Some of the most tax-efficient asset types to give through your will come from retirement plan accounts, since heirs would be taxed on the income.

• Bequests to your fund at SCCF earn a full charitable deduction on estate taxes.

• You can change the charitable beneficiaries of your fund at any time, without having to re-do your estate documents.

This assistance provides for the general welfare and well being of the community.  But, we also believe to give the same cup of water to quench the thirst and then to share the Good News of Jesus Christ those being served is a better investment.  This latter belief is the reason we place an emphasis on Christian ministries over secular organizations.  Through their Giving Funds, our clients, are able to make grants to a wide range of charities, Christian and secular.  However, we encourage and raise awareness of those organizations that share the eternal perspective and the Christian values we espouse.
